If going abroad ensure that you check with the practice nurse about your vaccination requirements.
The requirements change frequently due to outbreaks of diseases in certain areas, therefore your previous vaccinations may not be sufficient.
Ideally we would like to see you six weeks before you travel, to complete the required vaccinations.
The practice nurse will be happy to discuss travel health issues with you.
The surgery offers a wide range of travel vaccinations. The surgery has also been approved by the department of Health as a Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre. Please ensure you book an appointment for the Travel Clinic at least six weeks prior to your departure. We can also provide malaria prescriptions if needed – this is a private service which incurs a fee.
Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre
The surgery has been approved by the Department of Health as a Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre. This service is also available to non-registered patients. There is a standard charge applicable to both registered and non-registered patients.
